Now more than ever, we must stand by children and families impacted by developmental delays and disabilities.

As you are aware, the novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), a highly contagious respiratory illness, has affected individuals across the United States. In addition to the recently declared state of emergency, school districts have closed and countless physicians have advised vulnerable populations to avoid contact risk at all costs.

At present, our offices are closed until further notice. We have also temporarily stopped all in-home therapy.

Many of the young children we serve face chronic health conditions – and as a precaution, their parents and caregivers have decided to quarantine their families. As a result, these children were longer able to receive the critical therapy services they greatly need.

We had to take action.

Here at The Warren Center, we are committed to both the therapeutic progress and health of our clients and our staff. To ensure this, we are offering HIPAA compliant, virtual therapy sessions. We feel this is a viable and workable response to a unique situation. Virtual appointments ensure children do not miss therapy sessions, their progress is not hindered and parents still receive the help and support they need.

We will continue to make changes to programming as directed by state and local officials and will do our best to keep you, our supporters, apprised.

Our goal is to keep our therapy services going for our most vulnerable children and keep our staff employed in this great time of uncertainty.

Quick Facts:

  • Our staff traveled to 48 zip codes and more than 900 homes each week to serve children in need. We saw more than 200 children in our offices through clinic-based services.
  • Due to the coronavirus, at-risk children are under strict quarantine and are now missing the critical services they need.
  • Dallas County has issued a shelter-in-place order and all families are being asked to stay indoors as much as possible
  • The Warren Center is committed to continuing to deliver services to our children, but we need your help to do so.
Please consider making a gift so that we can keep our operation going and safely deliver services to children who need them most. You can make your gift online or by mailing it to:
