Etymologists define a breakthrough as the ability to move all the way through or beyond a barrier or restriction. While some might argue that it is uncommon to see a breakthrough in everyday life, agencies like The Warren Center help children regularly overcome obstacles through early childhood intervention. With your tax-deductible donation, children receiving support from The Warren Center can achieve a marked breakthrough that lasts for the rest of their lives.
Four-year-old Cameron is a shining example of the breakthroughs achieved through our Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) and Clinic Therapy Services program. Diagnosed with a phonological articulation disorder, Cameron substituted different words for different sounds and only had around 50 words in his active vocabulary at the start of therapy. His speech sounds were generally hard to understand, and he did not put sounds at the end of his words. With the expert support of Clinic Therapy Services, Cameron made consistent improvements and now his communication skills are developmentally appropriate. He no longer needs therapy and is now ready for social engagement with his peers.
Cameron’s success shows that The Warren Center is dedicated to results and that children can achieve anything with the right support.
