A young boy is taking steps toward communication, growth, and connection with the help of The Warren Center.

Bray’s mother, just like any parent, had her fair share of worries. She wanted to hear her son’s thoughts and feelings and to understand the world he lived in. Day after day, she would pick him up from school, hoping that one day he’d open up and share his experiences in his own words. That connection seemed difficult at first, until a game-changer entered the scene – The Warren Center.

Now, Bray’s mom has a grateful heart and a beaming smile. Because of The Warren Center, Bray has unlocked the doors to his emotions and thoughts. He’s not just talking about his day; he’s expressing how he feels about it, too, which creates an essential connection between a mother and her son.

Throughout Bray’s speech therapy sessions, he’s been taking strides toward becoming better at communication. Bray has a knack for staying on point and has been nailing who-what-when-where questions and has tossed pronouns into sentences like a pro.

He’s also telling stories like a master storyteller by using magic transition words like “first,” “next,” “then,” and “last.” Bray has also got some serious noun and preposition skills going on. For example, he can say, “put the dog under the box.”

Bray’s not stopping there, though. He’s also become an expert at identifying objects that come with cool modifiers. Picture him pointing out “the one with spikes” like a champ. He also has learned about character and setting identification.

When Bray first stepping into this amazing journey, he had some hurdles to leap over. He was working on asking for help, wrapping his head around negation and opposites, sorting things into categories, and making requests. He’s come a long way since then.

From uncertain beginnings to confidently expressing himself and building connections, he’s proving that with determination and the right guidance, anything is possible. Kudos to Bray, his mom, and his therapists at The Warren Center for helping Bray grow, transform, and learn heartwarming communication.
